ぎんごぅ なっと
In late autumn, the ginkgo trees turn yellow. Ginkgo nuts fall off the trees, and release a distinctive odor. They taste delicious whether fried or roasted after being shelled.
晩秋になると、イチョウ並木が色づきます。イチョウの木から落ちるギンナンは独特のにおいがします。殻をむいて、揚げたり、煎ったりすると風味があります。
【豆知識】においは smell、香りは scent とも言います。

銀杏を英語で言おうと思ったことがなかったですが、ギンゴゥ ナット って言うのか〜。
ちなみに、２個以上目から、nut じゃなくて、nuts になるわけですね。
いや〜、本当に英語って数にこだわる言語ですねぇ。
まあ、２個以上は食べたいですけどね。
