Bamboo shoots are in season in spring. Fresh bamboo shoots are soft, have a pleasant flavor, and taste nice when cooked with fresh wakame.
タケノコは、春が旬です。新鮮なタケノコは柔らかくて香りがよく、ワカメと一緒に煮るとおいしいものです。
【豆知識】shootには、「撃つ」「シュートする」のほかに、「若い枝」という意味もあります。
