The yellowtail is a migratory fish in the order Perciformes and the family Carangidae.
The cold yellowtail, which go south for the winter, contain more fat.
They are eaten raw or marinated in soy sauce and grilled.

ブリはスズキ目アジ科の回遊魚です。
冬に南下してくる寒ブリは脂が乗っています。
刺し身や照り焼きなどにして食べます。

【豆知識】ブリは Japanese amberjack とも言います。

＜知ってひとこと＞

魚の外見についてあんまり詳しくないのですが、ブリって yellowtail 黄色いしっぽ って言うんですね。
ホントに黄色いのか、画像検索してみました。

とりあえず、寒ブリ食べるのは大好きなので、寒ブリ＝cold yellowtail は覚えとこうっと。
